DIVERSITY - EQUITY - INCLUSION

Diversity, equity and inclusion are central to what we do at the Conservation Corps of Long Beach. First and foremost, they are elements of the vision, the values and the mission of the organization. Staff works diligently to make sure that these are practiced on a daily basis. Every interview with a new employee contains questions about diversity, equity and inclusion in order to make informed hiring decisions that not only focus on experience and skills, but also behavior and willingness to practice these as they perform their job functions.

Conservation Corps of Long Beach understands that diversity, equity and inclusion are critical to operating a successful nonprofit as well as serving its target population. This also translates into who they partner with, who they have vendor relationships with and who they allow to enter their orbit. Safety is not only first and foremost in the field on work projects, but social-emotionally, safety in the environments they occupy is important for everyone to feel when they are connected to the organization.
