Water & Energy Efficiency

Creating a sustainable future means stewarding the resources we use on a daily basis. Here at the Corps, we support the local community by installing technologies that allow us to increase resource efficiency. We’re especially passionate about ensuring sustainable tech is available to all households!

  • Currently, we are beginning to reach a place where the demand for finite resources outstrips the supply. To address this gap, we need to learn to use our resources more efficiently by doing more and better with less. Luckily, we can! Technologies such as drip irrigation and solar panels can help us ease into a more sustainable future.

  • Great question! Local residents can start by considering participating in the Long Beach Lawn-to-Garden initiative, which incentivizes homeowners to create native, drought-tolerant landscapes.

  • Drought Tolerant Landscapes

As an arid climate, California does not receive much water. Luckily, our native plants are adapted to dry conditions. By reintroducing native, drought-tolerant plants, we create beautiful landscapes while conserving water! We at CCLB use water conscious methods in all projects, and also work with the Long Beach Water Department to create drought tolerant landscaping for low-income housing units.
