Conservation Corps Long Beach Recycling

Once a participant in our Education Program demonstrates a commitment to the CCLB, their studies and course work, they will be invited to combine their education with work experience and job readiness skills – all beginning in the CCLB’s Recycling Department. The Recycling Department and the work that is done is funded by a grant from CalRecycle.

The Recycling Department services and contracts with: multi-complex residences, local businesses and special events throughout the greater Long Beach area. Recyclables are picked up by our Corpsmembers and brought back to our facility in Signal Hill where the items are sorted and prepared to be taken to market so they may be recycled into new items. Recycling contracts not only provide valuable work experience for our Corpsmembers but attribute to keeping unnecessary items out of the landfills.

CCLB offers a secure 24-hour drop off for recyclables at our Headquarters and Signal Hill facility. We accept the following Items: plastics, aluminum cans, glass, and mixed paper. Pick up services are also available, dependent on staff availability. Other services CCLB offers includes: certified e-waste collection, motor oil collection education, tire pick up on public land. Please contact our facilities regarding these services.
